Thank you for inquiring about Military Style Cleaning… Please note, if this an “overall”, first time, or “on going” cleaning, this is a “dual” effort. I like to move at a comfortable pace. If possible, please assist me by removing as much clutter from surfaces as possible, and remove as many things from the floors, so I can sweep/vacuum and mop with ease. Do you have a crew?
Normally it’s 2 or 3 of us. For larger jobs I will add more people.
Do you provide your own supplies and equipment?
We bring my own supplies, if you have a preference, please leave it available. We also prefer to use my own equipment – however, if you have 2 or more pets, or if areas are heavily soiled/ neglected, we will ask to use your equipment.
Do you do ceiling fans, baseboards, windows/blinds, (2 inch only or more) stoves, refrigerators, walls, full cabinets with dishes, food or cleaning supplies?
Stoves -self cleaning only. All These jobs will be done on deep cleaning, they need discussing and a “look at” before agreeing. We can also assist with packing for move outs and closet organizing.
Can you come out to give an estimate?
An estimate will require a $25.00 cash fee paid upon arrival – it will be deducted when you book your job within 7 days. 10 days for a Move Out job, if you’re local Timmonsville/Florence. I can do an estimate by phone (free of charge).
How much can I expect to get done when you come out?
I go by what we agreed to do, what I have written down. If time allows, I will catch extra things as I feel fit. The less clutter in your home, the more this is possible. Any rooms that you don’t want entered, please leave the door closed. Please clear kitchen and bathroom counters as much as possible, because the “Cleaning team is coming”.
When are you available?
Generally, 8am-1pm or 8am - 4pm Monday – Friday (when school is in session) I start 9:30-10am when school is not in session. I don’t clean evenings, I’m available some weekends. Occasionally, I may be available to do clean-ups after parties or events (Sat. only) – please call ahead to check availability.
How do you schedule?
Weekly, biweekly or monthly.
Do you clean by the “job” or by the “hour”?
We clean by the job. We clean what has been agreed to clean, and what has been discussed and I quoted based on this. Please do not add tasks as we are “wrapping up”. On occasion to get something small ok…but if this is “what you do” every time we come into your place I will bill for the extra task if time allows. Often we cannot do the extra task, if will knock us off schedule to get to the next job. Also, to keep confusion down, I deal with ONE member of the home, normally this is the lady of the house. Please coordinate all cleaning needs with the lady of the house, so the husband will not “walk me through, but the lady does the “finally check”. This normally does not go over well.
Anything you won’t clean?
We try to be as accommodating as possible. However, we don’t clean ceiling fans way beyond reach, any elegant or fancy chandler lights; fancy dining room lights, or in general, expensive lighting/lamps, any really heavy urine odors or messes from animals or people, too many insect droppings in general – or ANY Extreme hard to reach places that our ladder can’t reach; NO CEILINGS at all. Either we will not get these areas, or if we do decide to get it, it will be an extra charge. We don’t clean pet cages/litter boxes. We’re not crazy about removing portraits, art work/paintings off the wall to clean and rehang especially, those with glass. We don’t clean a trash receptacle that looks like it’s never been cleaned; generally ones under the kitchen sink - we don’t clean inside toilet brush holders, we won’t “wet wipe” 1 inch mini blinds, or take curtains down. we don’t make Bunk Beds or beds against the walls (we need to be able to “walk around” the bed to make it). We’ll make a bed, but changing the linen is more like a “maid service” and not a “cleaning service” and we are trying to get to the next house, so often we will not do that. Dishes - we normally don't handle sinks full of dirty dishes however, the few items that may be left in your sink we will load it into your "empty" dishwasher. For our Elderly, and special needs, we are more accommodating.
Do you offer yard clean-ups?
No, not at this time. Check with us during the fall months for leaf and pine cones, small branches etc. we may be available on Saturdays. We also offer Pressure Washing, including sidewalks, driveways, fences, etc.
Do you offer a “one time” overall, deep clean up?
Yes we do. I will have to give an estimate.
When is the best time to call?
Anytime. We’ll get back to you asap. I generally don’t return calls on Sundays, (and probably won’t answer), but I will confirm a cleaning between 4-6pm on Sunday, for a Monday. If canceling please do so asap, (48 hrs best) and I’ll do the same. Please avoid canceling the night or morning of. I understand we all have emergencies. You can text 24/7
Do you move furniture?
Yes, some moving and lifting is expected. But if you’re looking for a deep cleaning, please have items moved away from walls/ windows prior to me coming… please keep in mind, I’m coming to clean, not move/lift/or pick up excess amounts of things.
Will you clean behind major appliances?
If the man of the house is present to help move the appliances. It's a $35.00 per large appliance clean behind will be added to the bill.
How do you prefer payment?
Cash. Electronic payments a $5.00 fee will be added. A fee 2.75% added on bills $250 + . Cash APP – No fees added. Cheques accepted by scheduled customers or Commercial Customers. Cheques written out to Military Style Cleaning. We have a “no refund policy”. We’ll be happy to go over an area again if necessary. Please let us know asap, (24/48hrs before the area is used / send pics) if you’re not satisfied. Please have funds available “before” we leave your premises. Commercial customers, I’ll send an invoice, please submit payment within 3 business days or as we agreed in the beginning of doing business.
How far do you travel?
Mainly the Pee Dee areas. However, we will travel if the job is large enough. Cleaning or Pressure Washing multiple units etc.
What do I get in a deep clean?
You will definitely get more then you would in a routine clean. However, it's pretty much what we have discussed on the walkthrough. Refer to question # 5. We may pick up an area or two that I think the owner have generally missed, but I (we) will not keep digging deep to keep looking for dirt. Because there's always more things to get in a house, and we'll never get out. We're there to get what was discussed.
Are you licensed, bonded and Insured?
Yes we are 100%.
Are you Prior Military?
Yes I am. Active Duty US Air Force. And I love my Vets!

for any questions or concerns about the cost of the job. The staff should already know what to do from your work request. Also, if I'm not present on a job the preferred method of payment will be an electronic payment, either an app or I can take a payment over the phone. Cheques sent in a sealed envelope noted MSC given to the person in charge. Cheques written out to Military Style Cleaning. Please do not recruit our staff for ANY odd or side jobs. If you need anything other than cleaning, please ask us, often we have other people we work with that we can refer you to.
